The Message:

The soul-stirring message for the evening came from Psalm 34. Pastor Williams took his time peeling back the layers of spiritual darkness-- layer by layer. "No matter what you go through, I will always bless the Lord [Yahweh]", repeated Pastor Williams.

Pastor Williams created an excitement in the air as he made Psalm 34 relevant to what people facing every day in their lives. He also shared a personal testimony of a recent medical issue he went through where he was unable to get out of bed. Williams explained how the doctor told him that "It wasn't COVID and not the Flu, but it seemed to have passed." Williams stated, to the enthusiastic crowd, "There's power in prayer!" This moved nearly everyone to their feet.

Conclusion:
This was a Saturday night well spent. In church with like-minded people who came together for praise and worship... priceless. If I had the to do it all over again, would I show up? Answer: a thousand times yes, yes, yes. I would be right there.

On January 1, 1863 President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared freedom to those who were enslaved in the states that were in rebellion. Today, 157 years later the signing of that groundbreaking document is remembered and celebrated in African American churches across America.

The Holy Ghost Center in Guyton, Ga is one such church that is keeping the annual tradition alive. A number of Pastors come out to support the event to show their solidarity.
