Talented Effigham youths were honored at the 37th Annual Youth Program for The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Observance Day. Students from elementary to high school participated in various disciplines from drawing and painting to writing essays pertaining to the positive achievements of Dr. King. The winners of each of the subject areas were honored with trophies as they were called to the stage at the Effingham Community Center not only to receive an award but also to speak publicly before a large audience. Parents, teachers, community leaders were all in attendance in support of the youth.
