Pastor Delmons White installed as Pastor at Union Springs Methodist Church

Effingham County, Ga | On Sunday, April 28th, 2024 Union Springs Methodist Church, Inc installed the Rev Delmons White as its new pastor.

 Union Springs was founded on May 29, 1874 and was rebuilt in 1951. 

​This is Pastor White's home church, where he attended as a youth and now has the opportunity to lead. "It is good to be back home," White said. 

Pastor White has over forty-three years in ministry. He has served as senior pastor in several churches throughout his calling. He is transitioning to Union Springs from Mount Olive Baptist Missionary Church in Nevils, Ga -- where he pastored for the last ten years.

Pastor White is welcomed by Union Springs after the senior pastor took ill--Rev. Dr. Leo Burns, who led Union Springs for more than ten years.

​Pastor White wrote to the congregation, "I want to thank the Union Springs family for joining The Lord in what He began to do over forty years ago! Based on my knowledge of the ways of the Lord it is my belief that He predestined this day long before I was even born and worked out the details over time."

The Keynote

​Minister Dr. Torian White

The Proclaimer and keynote of the service was none other than Minister Dr. Torian White, the son of Pastor Delmons White.  He gave an impassioned message of hope and responsibility to the newly installed pastor...his own father. The message was well received by all who heard. 

This was a very moving and memorable father-son moment, which was felt throughout the church--a moment forever captured for the historical record and library at Union Springs Methodist Church.

​The attendance was standing room only, where an overflow room was set up with a large monitor for live-feed viewing. Effingham community showed it's love and support for Pastor White and his family.
